On the 1st of April, LanternPay and HICAPS came together to provide an enhanced healthcare claiming solution for Australians.

Following the successful merger between Nurses & Midwives Health and Teachers Health on 1 January 2022, integration work will occur between 8.30pm on Thursday 30 June 2022 and 5pm on Sunday 3 July 2022.

A select number of participating health funds for Overseas Health Cover (student, worker or visitor), are offering their members the convenience of processing their claim on the spot through HICAPS.
Now Bupa, Medibank Private and nib members with Overseas Health Cover can have their health fund benefit processed at participating practitioners through the HICAPS terminal.
