Practice Goals 2026

As we step into 2026, practices across the country are focusing less on sweeping reform and more on the small, practical changes that can transform staff confidence and patient care. Healthcare is being shaped by practitioners who aren’t just keeping up – they’re leading the way with thoughtful improvements that make everyday work better.

We spoke with HICAPS customers about one meaningful change they’re putting into action this year, and how it’s already making a difference for patients, teams and the communities they serve.

Here we spotlight Shervin Mossammaparast, Managing Director at Dental One.

“In 2026, we’re continuing the same direction that has moved our business forward this year: improving the patient experience across every touch point by using AI to enable efficiencies in our day-to-day operations. Progress in this space has made it possible for us to build our own internal tools rapidly and to iterate until we have found the best solution with real impacts across every aspect of our business.

We’ve already cut down a huge amount of admin that used to sit on the shoulders of our team, which has given them more time to actually focus on patients rather than paperwork. Patients with straightforward needs can now check themselves in, which frees our reception team to properly support those who need extra care and follow-up. What used to involve jumping between several systems, billing, notes, and reports can now be handled in minutes instead of hours.

The goal for 2026 is simply to build on this foundation. Patients will move through their appointments faster, walk out with clearer information, and have more control through simple self-help tools. Our team will be able to focus on higher-value work instead of repetitive tasks, which not only improves the service we provide but also gives our staff more room to grow. At the end of the day, the real outcome is better care without higher costs—and that’s what matters to us.”
