HICAPS Accounts Online is transitioning to a new enhanced digital platform.

This is the first step in our digital transformation to provide you a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.

How does this impact you?

HICAPS is in the process of transitioning from the HICAPS Accounts Online platform to the new HICAPS Digital.

HICAPS Digital is a secure online claiming solution with real-time eligibility approvals. It enables providers to complete invoicing and claiming for select Government Schemes and Private Health Insurers for allied health and other healthcare providers.

What’s changing

You no longer have access to log into HICAPS Accounts Online and will need to register for a HICAPS Digital account to continue accessing functions similar to those used on HICAPS Accounts Online. Once registered, you’ll have access to the following: 

  • Claims processing for allied, medical, care and disability providers.
  • Easy invoicing and fast settlements for select Government Schemes including Medicare, iCare NSW, TAC Victoria, WorkSafe Victoria and WorkCover Queensland. 
  • Quickly confirm a patient’s funding eligibility prior to their appointment.
  • View your digital and terminal claim transactions at a time that works for you, in near real time in one place.
  • Add a new Provider – set up their profile and track the application.
  • Update bank account details and payee provider details for your practice. 

As part of HICAPS Digital you’ll also have access to request: 

  • to configure provider terminal settings;
  • to re-order providers ;
  • to receive and modify statements ; and
  • daily totals.

HICAPS Portal uses the latest technology and infrastructure, making it more secure, reliable, and enables us to develop new features and data insights in the future.

Step 1. Login to HICAPS Accounts Online.  

Step 2. Action any pending reversals. If you use reversals, any reversals you’ve initiated in HAO MUST be approved or declined in HAO. You can then process new reversals via HICAPS Portal.

HICAPS Portal 

To start using HICAPS Portal, you’ll need to register and create a password.  

Step 1: Open HICAPS Portal. 

Step 2: Click Register Now. 

Step 3. Enter your HICAPS ID and date of birth. 

Step 3: Enter one-time password sent to your mobile. 

Step 4: Set up your password.  

Step 5: You’re now ready to log in and use HICAPS Portal.
