Trinity (T650p) Terminal Installation

What do I need to do before my terminal is installed?

Once you’ve applied for a new terminal, our installation team will contact you to make an appointment and provide you with important information. This information is detailed below.


Prior to your install appointment it will be useful to have the following:

  • If you have Wi-Fi at your practice, please have your Wi-Fi password
    available. You will need to enter this into the terminal to connect it to Wi-Fi.
  • An active internet connection with an ethernet cable that can be plugged into the terminal.

  • A pre-selected six (6) digit terminal passcode of your choosing. This passcode will need to be used for functions such as refunds on the terminal. Sequential or consecutive number will not be accepted. We also recommend for security reasons, that you don’t use any identifiers such as birthdays or postcodes.

 

What to expect on install day?

A HICAPS representative will arrive at the pre booked appointment time to install your new terminal. If you have an existing VX model terminal, the installer will remove your old terminal, ensuring they complete settlement totals for your records before disconnecting.

You will be required to enter your Wi-Fi password (if you have one), to connect the terminal. Terminals can only connect to password protected Wi-Fi connections. Alternatively they can connect your terminal via internet with an Ethernet cable. All health funds will support claims processing via Ethernet, with limited health funds supporting claim processing via Wi-Fi and Mobile. Finally the HICAPS representative will provide training on the functionality of the terminal including how to process Health Fund claims, sales, refunds, print receipts and change the receipt roll. You will receive a copy of the Quick Reference Guide to further assist you with the terminal and its new functionality.
