HICAPS is proud to announce that Nurses & Midwives Health health  is now available for electronic claiming via HICAPS.

Nurses & Midwives Health is a new health fund exclusively for nurses and midwives and their families. Developed by Teachers Health Fund, Nurses & Midwives Health is focussed on providing relevant and affordable health insurance cover at every stage of life. Emergency Services Health joins HICAPS

Emergency Services Heath is a new health fund and is Australia’s only private health insurer established exclusively for those who work and volunteer to protect our communities including; fire, state emergency, ambulance, medical response and recovery, and water response and recovery sectors.  This new health fund has just been launched by Police Health.

As a not-for-profit private health insurer, Emergency Services Health exists to support Australia’s emergency services community with all funds being used to further enhance the physical and mental health and wellbeing of workers, volunteers and their families.

Changes to the HICAPS Equipment and Provider Agreement Terms and Conditions

A review of the HICAPS Equipment Agreement and HICAPS Provider Agreement terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) has been conducted to ensure the Agreements comply with the new Unfair Contract Terms Legislation that will be effective from 12 November 2016.

To enable these changes to be made, your existing Agreement will cease on 11 November 2016.  The use of your terminal will be on new terms and conditions, as set out in a new set of Agreement (“New Agreement”).

To accept the New Agreement/s, you simply have to continue using your terminal on and/or after 12 November 2016.  From that date, the New Agreements will apply to your use of the terminal.

Are you on the latest software version

To ensure that your are getting the best out of your HICAPS terminal, HICAPS is updating all our terminals to the latest software release.

The terminal should complete this task over night however if the terminal is unable to update for some reason you may be contacted by one of our staff to complete this update manually.

The update will include a mandatory security update (just like a windows update).Dialling and connection updates as well as some general house keeping tasks.
